Does the EU AI Act apply to UK businesses?

- You have employees based in the EU
- Your AI outputs affect people in the EU (e.g. a chatbot on a site serving EU visitors)
- EU clients ask for AI compliance documentation in contracts
When it might not (yet)
Purely UK-facing with no EU tie-in? You may not be directly in scope today. But the UK is developing its own AI regulation. B2B clients may still ask about governance. Sorting it now beats scrambling later.
